Pave HER Way, the national nonprofit dedicated to backing women who are removing barriers and creating change for other women, today announced that applications will open Aug. 31 for its inaugural grant programs.
Designed to invest in women at different stages of their journeys, Pave HER Way’s three funding opportunities provide more than financial support. Recipients gain access to mentorship, professional networks, and a community of women committed to creating lasting change.
The organization is seeking applications for two major awards:
- Disruptor Award: Up to $90,000 sponsoring transformational projects and ideas that create meaningful public benefit for women and girls.
- Financial Aid: Up to $30,000 for women facing financial barriers as they pursue education, professional development, or work that advances equity for women.
To be eligible for Pave HER Way’s grant programs, applicants must:
- Identify as a woman
- Be at least 18 years old
- Be a U.S. citizen or resident
- Not be a relative, officer, employee, or member of the Pave HER Way Board of Directors
“We started Pave HER Way because too many extraordinary women are still expected to overcome structural barriers with determination alone,” said Jamie Mohn, Co-Founder of Pave HER Way. “Talent is everywhere. Opportunity isn’t. We believe women shouldn’t have to choose between pursuing bold ideas and navigating unnecessary barriers. When women have funding, mentorship, access, and a community behind them, they don’t just succeed. They expand what’s possible for other women.”
Pave HER Way is also offering a Change Agent Prize, which awards up to $90,000 to women with a demonstrated track record of advancing opportunities for other women and girls. For the Change Agent Prize, Pave HER Way limits consideration only to individuals who have been nominated by someone from its invited pool of nominators.
“Our mission isn’t simply to fund women,” said Irene Shih, Founding CEO of Pave HER Way. “It’s to find women who are committed to making life better for other women and girls, to sponsor their vision and talents, and to create a community around them that will champion their cause. Pave HER Way aspires not only to impact women we directly sponsor, but also to grow an ecosystem of allies — grant recipients, volunteers, donors, and partners alike — who each play a role in helping women thrive. We are, above all, a movement.”
Pave HER Way welcomes applications from women across all industries and backgrounds whose work demonstrates a commitment to advancing equity and opportunity for women. The organization also invites professionals, executives, entrepreneurs, and community leaders to become mentors, connectors, builders, and supporters of its growing national network.
