Philadelphia, Pennsylvania Nov 3, 2026 (Issuewire.com) CNAClasses.com, a website that helps aspiring nursing assistants find and compare state-approved CNA training programs, today launched a free CNA Skills Practice Test and simulator. The tool lets students rehearse the hands-on skills they will perform in front of an evaluator on the CNA skills exam, from hand hygiene to manual blood pressure, on any phone or computer, with no account required.
For many students, the skills evaluation is the most stressful part of certification. On the NNAAP exam, candidates perform five skills in 30 minutes. Hand hygiene is always one of them, and one is always a measurement skill. Each skill includes critical element steps, and leaving out a single one fails that skill no matter how well the rest went. Candidates must pass all five.
“Most CNA students know the steps when they read them. Test day is about doing them in the right order, under pressure, with an evaluator watching,” said the founder of CNAClasses.com. “We built this so students can practice between classes or on a break, and walk into the exam knowing exactly what the evaluator is looking for.”
What Students Can Practice
20 skills, one at a time. Skills are grouped into measurement, infection control, mobility and safety, and personal care, including manual blood pressure, radial pulse, donning and removing PPE, transfer belt ambulation, range of motion, perineal and catheter care, mouth and denture care, and feeding.
Instant, evaluator-style feedback. Students put each skill’s steps in order from memory. The tool shows which steps are out of place, explains why the order matters, and flags when a critical element mistake would fail the skill on test day.
Timed mock exams. Students pick a state to load a provider-based practice format (NNAAP/Credentia, Prometric or Headmaster), with no hints and a score at the end. Students should confirm their current testing provider and requirements with their state nurse aide registry.
Exam Room simulation (beta). Students step into a virtual patient room with an evaluator watching, work with realistic equipment, and see exactly what would be marked. The beta currently covers blood pressure, pulse and respirations.
Practice games. “Care for residents” and “Work a shift” put students on a simulated CNA morning with residents, an assignment sheet, call lights and charting.
Progress tracking. Daily goals, streaks and an exam-readiness estimate help students see which skills still need work.
Built for Students and Instructors
The simulator is free, requires no signup, and runs in a phone’s browser with nothing to install. Skill steps follow published NNAAP (Credentia), Prometric and Headmaster (D&SDT) checklists. CNA instructors can share a single link so students practice step order at home before lab. The tool is an educational practice resource and does not replace hands-on training or a state’s official testing requirements.
