Veterinary Practice Partners (VPP) named to Newsweek’s America’s Greatest Workplaces in Health Care, America’s Greatest Workplaces for Women, and America’s Greatest Workplaces by State in California, Florida, and Pennsylvania
VPP partners with over 330 doctor co-owners at more than 200 veterinary hospitals across 35 states. The VPP community has over 700 doctors and more than 3,600 team members. The recognition of these rankings helps reflect VPP’s continued investment in building a workplace where veterinary professionals want to stay and grow, including expanded co-ownership pathways, ongoing professional development, and an Employee Assistance Fund that supports team members through unexpected hardship.
“This recognition belongs to every team member across our community who shows up for their patients, their clients, and each other every day,” said John McDonough, CEO of VPP. “Our mission has always been to keep veterinary medicine in the hands of veterinary professionals and to help our people find fulfillment in one another’s success. Being recognized as a leader in the health care industry, as a great workplace for women, and as a top workplace in some of our largest states means a great deal to us. It’s a meaningful sign that the culture we’ve worked hard to build is being felt by our people.”
Building on that mission, VPP’s vision is to set the standard for what veterinary medicine should be while preserving the heart in the work. VPP’s approach centers on three pillars: being the partner of choice for practice owners, the employer of choice for veterinary professionals, and the provider of choice for clients and their pets. Rather than folding acquired hospitals into a single corporate identity, VPP preserves the individual culture, legacy, and reputation each practice has built, while providing shared infrastructure, resources, and community across its network.
