Joshua Adams & Josh Konigsberg on Scaling Law Firms Beyond the Founder with EOS
JUPITER, Florida — In Episode 30 of the AGM Attorney Podcast, host Josh Konigsberg welcomes returning guest Joshua Adams. A lifelong entrepreneur and former founder and CEO of Rock Paper Simple, Adams now serves as a professional EOS Implementer, helping aggressive growth-minded law firm owners gain traction, clarity, and control by running their practices on the Entrepreneurial Operating System (EOS). Drawing from 13 years of agency leadership and his own journey from overwhelmed founder to EOS-powered seller, Josh Adams shares practical, battle-tested strategies for attorneys who want a firm that scales without consuming their lives.
In this episode of the Aggressive Growth-Minded Attorney Podcast, Adams and Konigsberg discuss the following points regarding EOS, law firm leadership, and building a business that’s truly scalable:
How implementing EOS at Rock Paper Simple transformed Adams’ own agency, ultimately allowing him to step back, sell the business, and dedicate his career to helping law firms implement the same system.
What EOS (Entrepreneurial Operating System) really is for law firms: a simple, practical set of tools and disciplines that clarify vision, drive traction, and create healthier, more accountable teams in a legal practice.
How EOS cuts through “136 issues at once” in most firms by focusing on six key components, and how tools like the two-page Vision/Traction Organizer and the 90-Day World replace overwhelm with a clear, step-by-step growth plan.
Why so many founding attorneys get stuck wearing four or more “hats,” and how tools like the Accountability Chart, Visionary–Integrator pairing, People Analyzer, and IDS help get the right people into the right seats and remove emotion from tough personnel decisions.
The mindset and management lessons Adams wishes he’d learned sooner: delegating faster, being slower to hire and quicker to act on misalignment, and understanding that holding onto the wrong people too long is often a firm’s most expensive mistake.
How EOS helps visionary attorneys reclaim their “unique ability,” improve quality of life, and begin living the EOS Life—doing what they love, with people they love, making a huge difference, being properly compensated, and having time for other passions.
Why now is the moment EOS is gaining traction across the legal industry, as more firms realize they can’t scale on a single charismatic rainmaker and need a real operating system to flip the “inverted pyramid” and build durable, systems-based growth.
One powerful first step for aggressive, growth-minded attorneys is to use the Elevate & Delegate tool to systematically get low-energy, low-skill tasks off their plate and onto the right team members—even if they never fully implement EOS.
The conversation gives attorneys, law-firm leaders, marketers, and aspiring thought leaders an inside look at how EOS can shift a firm from founder-dependent chaos to a clear, accountable, and scalable operating model. Listeners will walk away with actionable tools, mindset shifts, and a deeper understanding of how to build a firm that runs on systems instead of sheer willpower.
Adams is on a mission to help visionary entrepreneurs and law firm owners step into their “greater purpose” by freeing them from day-to-day bottlenecks and helping them build teams and systems that support sustainable growth: “My goal is simple: help more business owners step into their greater purpose. When you free a visionary from day-to-day chaos, you don’t just grow a firm—you unlock the impact they were meant to have.”
Adams continued, “EOS isn’t just about growing a bigger firm. It’s about helping visionary attorneys build a practice that runs on systems instead of stress, so they can actually enjoy the lives they’re working so hard to create.” By clarifying the firm’s long-term vision, breaking it down into 10-year, 3-year, 1-year, and 90-day targets, and aligning people, processes, and data to those goals, EOS creates a practical path toward both business success and personal freedom.
Regarding appearing on the AGM Attorney Podcast, Joshua Adams added, “I always love coming on this podcast. What makes it fun is that we don’t only talk about concepts. We ask, ‘How does this actually apply to law firms?’ When you take a big idea like EOS and bring it into a specific industry like law, that’s where it gets powerful.”

ABOUT JOSHUA ADAMS
I’ve been an entrepreneur since I was 8 years old; starting and running several businesses in my teens while helping operate the family business before launching a web design agency out of my parents’ garage at 18. So I get the garage story every entrepreneur wants to have! A merger resulted in me becoming a partner in a full service agency in my early 20’s, and at 25, I founded my own agency Rock Paper Simple.
We grew rapidly and made several acquisitions… and as we grew, I found myself more and more overwhelmed with people, client, cashflow and systems issues. The growth was awesome, but my stress and workload were not.
I was introduced to EOS by my CEO peer group and after a year of tinkering with self implementation, we brought on an EOS Implementer that was an absolute game changer for us. I was blown away at the impact. EOS helped me step completely out of operations and into the Visionary seat fully, which opened the door for me to pursue other passions and really explore what I love to do.
Turns out I was built to help people like you, so I sold my agency and became an Implementer to help others experience vision, traction, and a thriving EOS life like I did.
